About

Dr. Wizner earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University in Atlanta and earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga. He completed his residency training in family practice at Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Ga. Subsequently, he returned to his hometown of Powder Springs and started his medical practice.

Dr. Wizner is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice and an associate clinical professor in the Department of Community Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine. He serves as the medical director for Puckett EMS and on the WellStar Cobb Community Board. He is also a Councilman for the City of Powder Springs. He was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)’s Bridges to Excellence program for his quality diabetes care and management.
