A native of India, Dr. Nahnur earned his medical degree at GS Medical College in Mumbai. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, affiliated with Cornell University in New York, and his fellowship in geriatrics at Richland Hospital in Columbia, S.C. He is dual board certified and recertified in internal medicine and geriatrics. Dr. Nagnur has a unique distinction of being a fellow of American College of Physicians FACP and Certified Medical Director CMD. He has a special interest in inpatient care and has a passion in the care of the elderly across the spectrum of home, inpatient care and long-term care.
Dr. Nagnur has been in practice for more 12 years and has served in various positions as an attending physician, medical director of a primary care center, medical director of a hospitalist program and medical director of various nursing facilities. He moved with his family to the Atlanta area from Aiken, S.C. three years ago. Besides serving as a full-time hospitalist at Wellstar Douglas Hospital, he is also medical director at Paulding Nursing Center.
In his spare time, Dr. Nagnur enjoys swimming, tennis, soccer, playing the percussion instrument tabla and spending time with his family.
