Dr. Garriss received his bachelor’s degree from Asbury College in Wilmore, Ken. He earned his master’s degrees in physiology and biophysics from the University of Kentucky and health evaluation sciences from the University of Virginia. Dr. Garriss received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of North Carolina. He is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics.
Prior to joining WellStar, Dr. Garriss served as an assistant professor of internal medicine and pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., where he also served as associate director of the internal medicine residency program and internal medicine-pediatrics residency program.
