In 1975, Dr. Sutherland earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kentucky in Lexington where he also completed his OB/GYN residency. Dr. Sutherland is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has special interests in operative laparoscopy, high-risk obstetrics, family planning and medical ethics.
