Dr. Luk, a native of Hong Kong, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley, and earned his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the University of the East College of Medicine in the Philippines. After immigrating to the United States, he completed his pediatric residency at the University of South Florida’s School of Medicine in Tampa. He was elected by his peers and served as chief resident at Tampa General Hospital. Upon graduation, he was honored with the Resident of the Year and the Resident Teacher Awards. With an interest in heart diseases, Dr. Luk was a fellow at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center. He received awards for his dedicated work in the pediatric intensive care unit, as well as for his community service through the university’s outreach programs.
Academically, Dr. Luk has published articles in several professional journals and presented papers at scientific meetings.
Dr. Luk is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is on staff at WellStar Kennestone Hospital and previously served as its chairman for the Department of Pediatrics.
In his leisure, Dr. Luk enjoys swimming, diving, skiing and traveling.
