Dr. Maynard earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1999. She completed an internal medicine residency at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Ga. Dr. Maynard also completed two fellowships: a geriatric fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. and a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
She is board certified in internal medicine, geriatrics, hospice and palliative medicine. Her professional interests are in symptom management and hospice care.
