Dr. McCowan received an undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He taught middle and high school math and science prior to entering medicine. He completed his medical school and residency training at Emory University and then joined Urology Associates in August 2009.
Dr. McCowan is board certified in Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association and the Endourological Association. His interests include:
1. Robotic and Laparoscopic treatment of Kidney Disease and Cancer
2. Surgical treatments for female incontinence, pelvic reconstruction, and voiding dysfunction
3. Kidney Stones
4. Advanced Bladder Cancer
5. Routine Office Urology
Dr. McCowan is married, and he and his wife have a baby girl. He enjoys traveling, running, and playing the piano.
