Dr. Klass was born in Tuttlingen, Germany. In September 1989, she received her undergraduate degree at Ruhr Unversitaet in Bochum, Germany. Dr. Klass subsequently received her M.D. at Eberhard Karls Universitaet in Tuebingen, Germany in June of 1994 and her Ph.D. in June of 1996.
In November 1996, Dr. Klass came to the United States to continue her studies in medicine as a Research Fellow in Cell Biology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In August 2000, Dr. Klass transferred to Emory University, School of Medicine in Atlanta, where she completed her internal medicine residency and completed her Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University in August 2006.
Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr. Klass worked as a staff physician at the VA Medical Center in Atlanta. In January 2007, Dr. Klass joined Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers, P.C., at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where she currently evaluates and treats patients while actively participating in Clinical Trials and Research.
Dr. Klass is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.
