Dr. Malone earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He also completed his residency there. He spent three years on active duty with the United States Navy, serving one year as the medical officer aboard the USS Raleigh, as well as another year working in an OB/GYN clinic. Dr. Malone is an associate clinical professor of the Medical College of Georgia. He has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance's (NCQA) Bridges to Excellence program for his quality diabetes care and management.
