Inpatient Hospice

Inpatient hospice is a comforting choice when a life-limiting illness can no longer be managed at home. WellStar Community Hospice offers compassionate, professional care in a homelike setting at two suburban locations.

Tranquility at WellStar Cobb Hospital and Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain are both under the direction of palliative care physicians associated with WellStar Health System and the WellStar Medical Group - Palliative Medicine.

In addition to comprehensive end-of-life care, the inpatient sites offer respite care to give family caregivers temporary relief from their care giving duties. Care is provided at our inpatient facilities for up to five days at a time. Caregivers can visit freely but are encouraged to rest and take advantage of the opportunity to engage in other pleasant activities.

Tranquility at WellStar Cobb Hospital has served patients and their loved ones since 1998. The setting is gracious and welcoming with 18 private patient rooms with patios, plus family rooms, library and chapel. The facility is surrounded by beautiful gardens at the edge of the WellStar Cobb Hospital campus.

Tranquility at Kennesaw Mountain is an all-new inpatient hospice location nestled in a wooded area near Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. The hospice is minutes from WellStar Kennestone Hospital. The mission-style building provides an attractive and comfortable mountain-lodge atmosphere. An expansive deck invites patients and visitors to enjoy the changing face of the mountain. Each of the 18 private rooms features its own screened porch.
