Prescription Refills

To request a prescription refill, you may call the office.

Please make sure that you provide the following information:
Patient's name and date of birth
Caller's name (if different) and phone number
Drug name, dosage and how it is taken
The pharmacy name and phone number

Refills are processed within 48 hours of the request. Please call your pharmacy directly to check on the status of the medication refill and plan accordingly.

Calls after 12 noon on Fridays or the day before a holiday may not be addressed until the next business day.

Referrals

For HMO/POS referral requests, please call your physician's nurse. Referrals take up to 72 hours for processing by most insurance companies, so plan accordingly when making your requests.

To complete your request, we will need the following information:
Patient's name and date of birth
Caller's name and phone number
Patient insurance and identification number
Name of the specialist or facility
Reason for visit and date of appointment
Fax number

We will submit all the required information to the insurance company, but it is up to your insurance company to decide if the referral is approved.

Appointments & Cancellations

In order to provide all our patients with the best care possible, we ask that you make every effort to keep your scheduled appointments and arrive at least 15 minutes early for your appointment.

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we require a minimum cancellation notice of 24 hours. Please remember that confirmation reminders from us are only a courtesy. Our failure to confirm your visit does not relieve you of your responsibility to cancel your appointment.

We are closed daily for lunch from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

We also accept walk-ins, Monday thru Thursday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  On Fridays, walk-ins are accepted from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.

Insurance and Payment

We are committed to meeting your health care needs. Our goal is to keep your insurance or other financial arrangements as simple as possible.

WellStar Medical Group participates in most major insurance plans. For a complete list of insurance participants at this practice please call the practice main line. We will file your insurance for you if we are a participating provider of your plan.

All co-payments are due at the time of service. Please remember to bring your insurance card (HMO, CMO, PPO, etc.) with you to each appointment.

About Us

Due to the high volume of calls, often you will reach our voice mail system. We assure you that all voice mailboxes are checked regularly and calls area returned promptly and appropriately during business hours.

To ensure that your needs are met expeditiously, please leave a complete message including your name, date of birth, your physician, you reason for calling, and a contact number so we can return your call.

Please note that any medical questions must be forwarded to the physician for review.
The best time to call is Tuesday through Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
