Prescription Refills

Prescriptions will be filled within 24-48 hours.

Referrals

If your insurance plan requires you to have referrals to see specialists, please contact the Primary Care Physician listed on your insurance card and give them the date of your appointment and the name of the physician you will be seeing at our office. This referral will be needed prior to your visit with us to insure that your insurance processes and pays your benefits accurately. These can be faxed to our office at 770-942-5311.

General Directions

From I-20 East, take exit 36 (Chapel Hill Road/Campbellton Street). Take the South ramp which will take you to Chapel Hill Road. Get in the far left hand lane and turn Left at the 1st red light onto Timber Ridge Drive. Douglasville Medical Plaza will be the first brick building on the right. The address is 4904 Timber Ridge Drive and our office is located on the first floor in Suite 104.

From I-20 West, take exit 36 (Chapel Hill Road/Campbellton Street). At the redlight, make a right onto Chapel Hill Road and get into the far left hand lane. At the first red light, turn Left onto Timber Ridge Drive. Douglasville Medical Plazxa will be the first brick building on the right. The address is 4904 Timber Ridge Drive and our office is located on the first floor in Suite 104.

Appointments & Cancellations

The office is closed for lunch between the hours of 12:00pm - 1:00pm Monday through Thursday. However, due to surgery schedules, office hours for appointments are subject to change.

After hours our phones are on answering service for emergencies.

Insurance and Payment

We are committed to meeting your health care needs. Our goal is to keep your insurance or other financial arrangements as simple as possible.

Wellstar Medical Group participates in most major insurance plans. For a complete list of insurance participants at this practice please call the practice main line. We will file your insurance for you if we are a participating provider of your plan.

All co-payments are due at the time of service. Please remember to bring your insurance card (HMO, CMO, PPO, etc.) with you to each appointment.

Hospitalization

Our physicians have privileges at WellStar Douglas Hospital and WellStar Paulding Hospital.

Practice News

About Us

Douglas Surgical Associates joined the WellStar team in August of 2006. Our physicians are Board Certified Surgeons and are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. In order for our patients to fully understand their health and disease process, we take the time to carefully explain the prognosis and treatment protocol. Our physicians specialize in minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures at WellStar Douglas Hospital and Wellstar Paulding Hospital. We want our patients to feel comfortable about their surgical decision and the care they will receive.

Our facility offers free parking and there is a drop-off area available.
