General Directions

From I-75: Take the GA 120/N Marietta Parkway exit (#265). Turn west toward Marietta. Travel two miles to Hwy. 120/Whitlock Avenue. Turn right and travel seven miles until you reach Largent Way (there’s a Dairy Queen on the corner). Turn right on Largent Way and enter the second driveway on the left for West Cobb Medical Center. Free parking is available.

Insurance and Payment

We are committed to meeting your health care needs. Our goal is to keep your insurance or other financial arrangements as simple as possible.

WellStar Medical Group participates in most major insurance plans. For a complete list of insurance participants at this practice please call the practice main line. We will file your insurance for you if we are a participating provider of your plan.

All co-payments are due at the time of service. Please remember to bring your insurance card (HMO, CMO, PPO, etc.) with you to each appointment.

Hospitalization

Our Family Practice doctors have privileges at Kennestone and Cobb Hospitals. If you are admitted as an in-patient at Kennestone or Cobb Hospital, you will be seen by a Hospitalist physician who will communicate with your Primary Care Physician.

A Hospitalist is a physician who specializes in caring for patients in the hospital 24 hours a day. They are Board Certified Internal Medicine Physicians who will be responsible for your care from admission through discharge.

Our pediatricians have privileges at Kennestone Hospital for newborn care.

INFORMATION FROM THE PEDIATRICS DEPARTMENT
Please schedule your well visit appointments now for the summer. New requirements!! New vaccines!! The State of Georgia has revised the requirements for immunizations: Children attending day care, Pre-K or Head Start shall be required to be immunized against Pneumococcal disease (Prevnar.)
Children born after January 1, 2006 must have the Hepatitis A vaccine series. This vaccine is recommended for everyone. Any child attending any of the above facilities must have certificate (3231) with the dates of immunizations.

The new requirement for children entering kindergarten and 6th grade or students entering a Georgia school for the first time in any grade will be: 1) Two doses or a varicella containing vaccine or proof of immunity from the disease.
2) Two doses or a mumps-containing vaccine or proof of immunity.
Four-year-old children must have their immunization status evaluated for entry into kindergarten in the fall of 2007.
