General Directions
From 1-75 North or South:
Take Exit 267B which is the exit for Kennestone Hospital. After you come off on the exit you will go to the 3rd traffic light and take a right onto Whitcher Street. You will then make a left into the Kennestone Physicians Center Office Building which is connected with an overhead walkway to Kennestone Hospital.
From the Marietta Square:
You will take Cherokee Street toward Kennestone Hospital. You will make a left onto Cherry Street and go through one red light and then make the next left after the red light into the Kennestone Physicians Center Office Building. ****WellStar Kennestone Hospital provides a parking deck for the building for a fee.
Appointments & Cancellations

We ask that all appointments be canceled within 24 hours prior to appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, it will need to be rescheduled.
For urgent appointments we offer same day openings with our Cardiologist of the Day. This service is available at our Marietta location only. Please call (770) 424-6893 for more information on this service.
We use an automated appointment reminder system in which you will be notified 2 days prior to your appointment however you will be responsible to notify us of cancellations.
Insurance and Payment
We are committed to meeting your health care needs. Our goal is to keep your insurance or other financial arrangements as simple as possible.
WellStar Medical Group participates in most major insurance plans. For a complete list of insurance participants at this practice please call the practice main line. We will file your insurance for you if we are a participating provider of your plan.
All co-payments are due at the time of service. Please remember to bring your insurance card (HMO, CMO, PPO, etc.) with you to each appointment.
Hospitalization
Our Physicians refer to WellStar Kennestone Hospital. If you are admitted as an in-patient at Kennestone Hospital, you will be seen by our Cardiologists and midlevel providers who will communicate with your Primary Care Physician.
About Us
WellStar Cardiovascular Medicine (WellStar CVM) was founded in 1980 by Dr. Gregory L. Simone, who studied at Emory University under cardiology pioneers Drs. J. Willis Hurst and R. Bruce Logue.
WellStar CVM is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia, with offices in Marietta, Austell, Douglasville, Woodstock, Hiram, Canton, Jasper, East Cobb, and Acworth. We are comprised of 35 physicians, 25 midlevel providers, and a staff of over 200 talented individuals. Since our inception in 1980 WellStar CVM has been leading the way to improve cardiovascular care, and was instrumental in establishing the interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and heart surgery program within the WellStar Health System.
