Registration & Cancellation

Registration is required for all classes and programs unless otherwise noted. Payment must be made at time of registration in order to secure a space in the class. If you choose to send in a check or money order, your restitution will not be confirmed until payment is received and posted to your account. Pre-payment is required for all classes with fees, regardless of location.

Cancellation Policy
A seven-day notice of cancellation is required to receive a refund or to transfer to another class/program. Refunds are not available for some classes/programs, and a voucher to enroll in a future/class program is given instead. If you require special assistance due to a disability recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please give advance notification so that accommodations can be made.

Genetic Counseling

WellStar offers a comprehensive genetic risk assessment program to help patients identify possible hereditary causes of cancer. A board-certified cancer genetic counselor can assess your potential risk by collecting a detailed family history, reviewing your medical history, and exploring the possibility of genetic testing for various hereditary cancer syndromes. Patients with the following risk factors should consider meeting with one of our genetic counselors: Genetic Counseling ? Development of early onset cancer. This includes breast cancer diagnosed before age 45 or colon or uterine cancer diagnosed before age 50. ? The presence of the same or related cancers in multiple family members such as: breast, ovarian, colon, pancreatic, or uterine cancer or melanoma. ? The diagnosis of a rare cancer such as ovarian cancer, male breast cancer, or medullary thyroid cancer. ? A cancer with concerning pathology such as triple negative breast cancer under age 60 or abnormal IHC screening of the colon or uterine cancer. ? Cancer in a high risk ethnic group. This includes breast or ovarian cancer in an individual of Jewish ancestry. ? Having the same cancer more than once. ? Having more than 10 polyps on a colonoscopy or over 20 polyps in a lifetime. Genetic counseling is a medical consultation that is typically covered by insurance, and all information is protected and confidential. Office visits are available in Marietta, Austell and Hiram.
